(Las Vegas, June 9) Las Vegrants, the informal, invitational Core Fandom fan club, has extended an informal invitation to fans coming to Corflu Silver (April 25-27, 2008). Early arrivals to the Core Fandom world convention are encouraged to attend the Vegrants Meeting on Thursday, April 25th at the Plaza Hotel. 
 Don’t worry; you won’t be pinned to a folding chair, listening to mic-hogs vye for the feeble spotlight. Las Vegrants “meetings” are indistinguishable from what some might call “parties” and contain no official business of any kind. The food is very good and we hope to muster as much of our cast of characters as possible on a Thursday night. 
 
A Vegrants meeting is normally distinguished by the quality, quantity and variety of the food and drink. To that end, Joyce Katz designated a vase in the Launch Pad’s living room for donations. Vegrants have begun chucking dollar bills (and a few sawbucks) into the vase to pay for the Thursday bash. If the Vegrants can’t spend everything they collect, they’ll use the surplus to beef up the Sunday night party.
